Co-Founder and Chief Scientific Officer
35+ years in drug discovery and development across oncology, inflammation, CNS, cardiovascular, and metabolic disease. Co-inventor of ZETIA and VYTORIN, and inventor of LADR.
- Co-inventor on 120+ patents and co-author on 70+ publications.
- Built Scios small-molecule discovery; market cap grew to approximately $110M before acquisition by J&J for $2.4B in 2002.
- Founded Advantium Pharma, which was acquired by Sequoia Capital for a 7x return in 18 months.
- Founded Sphaera Pharma as an integrated discovery and development lab.
- Co-founder and CTO of Epirium Bio, which exited with an $85M Series A.
- Led multiple LADR licensing deals including Inhibikase, Unicycive, and Nuance.
Bill Yuen, MBA
Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Bill Yuen brings over 25 years of strategic leadership, investment expertise, and operational management experience across global financial institutions and private investment firms.
- Held strategic and leadership roles at Fortune 50 companies, including seven years at GE Capital.
- Served on investment, operating, and risk management committees for GE's Private Equity, Insurance, and Capital Markets Divisions.
- Certified Black Belt in quality and process improvement with a track record building and managing cross-functional teams.
- Received an MBA from the Simon School of Business Administration at the University of Rochester, where he also earned his undergraduate degree in economics.
